Woman, in touch with Tollywood celebs, caught in Narsingi for possessing MDMA

HYDERABAD: A 32-year-old woman, M Lavanya, has been arrested along with a peddler Unnith Reddy for possession of banned drug MDMA in Kokapet. Police seized four grams of the contraband from her.
Lavanya is reportedly the girlfriend of a Tollywood actor. According to Narsingi police, Lavanya, a resident of Patancheru, had been staying at a rented accommodation at Kokapet and teaching music in Narsingi.

Based on a tip-off, police raided her residence and nabbed her. Lavanya confessed that she had been consuming drugs for about a year.
She also said that she purchased MDMA from Unnith Reddy, who is a peddler named in a previous case too.
Lavanya was walking from her car towards her house on Sunday near the MGIT college when the police intercepted her. She had four grams of MDMA in her handbag worth around Rs 50,000 which Unnith brought from Goa.
Meanwhile, the police said that Lavanya had many acquaintances in the film industry. Along with Lavanya's mobile, the police examined her social media accounts and personal chat, and key data came to light. The police found that Lavanya's mobile had contacts of many singers and film celebrities. She would now be interrogated for more leads. The police have requested for a five day police custody of the accused.
