HYDERABAD: ‘Tis the season of joy and merriment, and where better to celebrate Christmas than in the lap of nature? On the weekend before Christmas, Stonecraft Group celebrates by hosting guests at a very merry party at Woods Shamshabad.

The evening is a curated festive experience like no other in the world’s largest . The creative team of chefs at Ariko Cafe have partnered with the forest to put together a delectable X-Mas feast. The party begins on Saturday evening and continues till Sunday morning to provide guests with a full experience of the venue.

Guests check into Woods and are offered delicious welcome drinks and high-tea snacks. The evening then flows into a live performance by The Band Elementals, who set the mood for dance in the acres of open space. There are cycles available to tour the 60-acre property and explore the 18-acre Miyawaki forest.

As night falls, there is an outdoor movie screening in the chilly winter, and guests are encouraged to lounge by the screen with blankets and recliners. The experience is made sweeter with unlimited artisanal coffees and gelatos by Ariko Cafe, crafted specially for Christmas at Woods.

A special surprise this Christmas is Santa visiting Woods! The team of chefs celebrate this by cutting a plum cake made from the cake-mixing batter from Thanksgiving - a whole and true Christmas tradition. A special menu includes veg mince pie and Kugelhopf too!

A warm bonfire waits by the tents to warm up before snoozing. The gentle sounds of crickets and leaves rustling will surely be the perfect brown noise.

On Sunday morning, wildlife photographer Sriram Reddy would organise a detailed bird-watching walk through the forest. One might spot some rare winter visitors! Then, guests are walked to the breakfast counters, where they may gorge on fresh Continental and Indian breakfasts - a perfect ending to a Christmassy Forest Experience.
