HYDERABAD: Are you tired of working from the office or working from home? The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has come to your rescue by developing a park in Hyderabad for children and techies in Hyderabad city.

So, if working from home or the office becomes too monotonous, you may now work from nearby parks. The municipal corporation has established a Park for kids and techies as part of the development of 50 theme parks across the city, as proposed by MA&UD minister KT Rama Rao.

The 'Interactive Science Park' would be inaugurated soon so that children and techies can take advantage of them whenever needed. These unique theme parks, which are being built throughout the city, not only offer stunning plants but they also have exclusive workstations where techies can unwind peacefully and work while embracing the natural environment.

V. Krishna (IFS), Additional Commissioner, GHMC, took to Twitter on Monday and said, "Techies, get ready to experience working in nature. GHMC has created a Park for Kids and techies as part of the development of 50 Theme Parks across the city, as proposed by Minister KTR. To be inaugurated soon."

The unique theme park, known as 'Interactive Science Park, located in Patrika Nagar in HITEC city, has amenities such as seating for more than 30–35 people, a modern kids playzone, an open gym, physics equipment, 2-3 charging ports for 4-6 tables and chairs, Gazebos, and WI-FI connectivity for techies.

According to V. Krishna (IFS), Additional Commissioner, GHMC, "About 30-35 visitors at the park can also conduct group discussions and work together at this theme park. We have created a number of modern play zones for the kids at this park. Parents who live nearby can bring their laptops to the parks and work while their children play. We decided on the theme based on the locality, and we chose the work from park concept in Madhapur as there are many hostels and IT firms located here. So, if the techies need to take a break and work outdoors, they may come here."

"Even though we are planning to provide Wifi, it is still in the works, and it has not yet been decided whether to charge visitors an entry fee because the park has yet to be inaugurated. Apart from open seating for the techies, we have constructed Gazebos that provide shade seating during rains and sunny days," he added.

"We've been asked to develop parks wherever possible across the city. We have so far established approximately 28 theme parks across the city among the 50 parks, and we are working on establishing more parks based on locations and space available. A park with similar themes was earlier developed in Uppal, Telangana, " said V Krishna.

GHMC has built different kinds of theme parks in Serilingampalle, Yousufguda, Malakpet, LB Nagar, Hayathnagar, Mallapur, Khairatabad, Sanath Nagar, and Kukatpally, and has plans to establish many more throughout the city.
