YS Viveka murder case: CBI court in Hyderabad adjourns hearing to March 10

The court also directed the CBI authorities to lodge three accused, brought from the Kadapa Central Prison, at the Chanchalguda Central Prison

HYDERABAD: A CBI special court in Hyderabad on Friday adjourned the YS Vivekananda Reddy murder case hearing to March 10. The court adjourned the case after five accused were produced before it. Three of them were shifted from Kadapa to Hyderabad for this purpose.

The CBI special court ordered that the accused be produced before it on March 10 for the next hearing. It also directed the CBI authorities to lodge three accused, brought from the Kadapa Central Jail, at the Chanchalguda Central Jail.

Earlier in the day, The CBI officials shifted three of the accused in the sensational murder case to Hyderabad amid tight security with the help of police.

The police took all necessary precautions to avoid untoward incidents and shifted the accused Sunil Yadav, Uma Shankar Reddy and Devi Reddy Sivashankar Reddy to Hyderabad from Kadapa Central Jail in four special police vehicles.

Meanwhile, the other two accused Erra Gangireddy and Dastagiri who are on bail have already reached Hyderabad. The accused were produced in the court at around 10.30 am.

They were produced in the CBI special court in Hyderabad since the case was transferred out of Andhra Pradesh and to Telangana based on apprehensions expressed by Vivekananda Reddy’s daughter Dr Sunitha. The CBI has intensified the investigation into the murder case in the recent past and also questioned Kadapa YSRCP MP YS Avinash Reddy.
