11 farmers arrested for mock funeral of CM Revanth Reddy

ADILABAD: Eleven farmers were arrested in Adilabad district for staging a mock funeral of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to protest his failure to implement the promised crop loan waiver.

The farmers had staged the protest by holding a mock funeral of the chief minister two days ago in Ruyyadi village in Talamadu mandal of Adilabad district. They expressed dissatisfaction with the Congress government as the assured waiver of loans did not materialize.

Those arrested include Goka Lakshmareddy, Pundru Upender Reddy, Urukonda Dattu, Nimmala Suryasen Reddy, Vipul Reddy, Nakka Dhanunjay, Kummari Bhumanna, Bahadur Narsimhulu, Alluri Satish Reddy, Nimmala Sudarshan Reddy, and Pundru Pota Reddy.
