2 ATM thieves, notorious for attention-diversion, arrested in Hyderabad
The accused allegedly targetted old and illiterate people, offered to help them and swapped their cards

HYDERABAD: Asifnagar Police apprehended two people, Attaualla Khan (28) and Surendra Kumar (33) for 10 attention diverting offences in Asifnagar, Humayunnagar, Sultan Bazar, Saifabad and Mirchowk of Hyderabad and other places.
They recovered Rs 2,50,000 in cash, 115 ATM cards of different banks, fevicol bottles, two cell phones and a swiping machine from their possession.
The accused allegedly targetted old and illiterate people, offered to help them and swapped their cards with unaccounted ATM cards. They then withdrew money from their accounts.
Reportedly, Attaullah Khan was involved in a similar case in Bhopal of Madhya Pradesh too.
The case was detected by verifying CCTV footage. The staff of Asifnagar Police Station, Hyderabad City has apprehended the accused on Thursday.
