24 students hospitalised after suspected food poisoning at ZPHS Bibipet

HYDERABAD: At least 24 students at a Zilla Parishad High School in Bibipet village of Kalher mandal of Medak district were admitted to hospital after experiencing suspected food poisoning. The incident occurred after the students consumed their midday meal, which reportedly included boiled eggs and okra curry.

Shortly after eating, the students began vomiting and complaining of stomach aches. Teachers and parents immediately transferred them to the nearby Narayankhed hospital. Thankfully, all students are reported to be stable, with some already discharged.

Some students reported that the food tasted stale. Parents have expressed anger that they were not informed of the incident, even while their children were being taken to hospital. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
