4 killed, five injured after car hits divider in Tirupati district

TIRUPATI: Four persons were killed while five others were severely injured after a Tavera car rammed into a divider on Wednesday. The incident took place near Naidupet-Poothalapattu main road in Chandragiri Mandal.

The accident occurred while a group of nine persons from Solapur in Maharashtra were going towards Kanipakam after their darshan at Tirumala. The victims were identified as Rishikesh, Mayur, Ajay, Rohan, Rahul, Srinarlekar, Antarvu, Sunil and Ambadas.

The injured were immediately shifted to Tirupati Ruia hospital in an ambulance. Learning about the incident, West DSP Narasappa Ruya reached the hospital. The Chandragiri police have registered a case and the investigation was going on.
