HYDERABAD: Bahadurpura Sub-Inspector (SI) Shravan Kumar was caught red-handed by the sleuths of Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) while receiving a bribe from a local on Friday.

The junior police officer was caught accepting Rs 8,000 as bribe from a person. The sub-inspector allegedly demanded money from the person to return his seized mobile phone. Shravan Kumar is believed to be a recruit from the 2020 batch.

The ACB officials laid the trap after the victim reportedly approached the department for help. Full details of the incident are yet to be known.
