Telugu student shot at in Chicago succumbs, other stable

CHICAGO: One of the two Telugu students, who were shot at in Chicago in the early hours of Monday, died during treatment on Monday night.

Two students, Devansh of Vijayawada and Sai Charan hailing from Hyderabad, were shot at by robbers while they were on their way to Walmart for shopping. Both of them suffered grievous wounds and were being treated at a hospital in Chicago South.

One of them, Devansh, succumbed to the bullet injuries at the hospital, leaving his family devastated back home in India. Doctors said that Sai Charan was in a stable condition but still required treatment.
