Class 8 student dies by suicide in Hayathnagar

HYDERABAD: A class 8 student of Shantiniketan School in Hayathnagar died by suicide at her residence near Hayathnagar RTC colony on Thursday.

Family members of the girl, Akshaya, staged a protest in front of the school after initial investigation revealed that Akshaya hanged herself after a teacher of her school punished her for not doing homework.

Police was deployed at the school as well as her residence to control the situation.
