Container lorry goes berserk in Mailardevpally, woman killed

RAJENDRANAGAR: A woman was killed in a bizarre incident where a container lorry went berserk near Lakshmiguda of Mailardevpally in Ranga Reddy district on Monday. The mishap happened after the driver of the container lorry lost control of the heavy vehicle and hit a motorcycle on which Durga Devi, the victim, was travelling.

The tragic death came after she sustained severe head injury in the incident. A resident of Goshamahal, Durga Devi was travelling on the motorcycle when the monstrous truck hit the two-wheeler from behind at Lakshmiguda.

Enraged by the ghastly accident, the locals thrashed the driver of the container lorry driver for causing the accident and the death before handing him over to the police. It was not immediately clear if the The police are investigating the case.
