HYDERABAD: The Cyberabad Police destroyed narcotics worth over Rs 2.5 Cr at Dundigal on Tuesday.

The department had seized 1338.05 kg of ganja (marijuana), 485 ml of weed oil, 11 grams of cocaine and other narcotic substances.

Control of the drug menace was one of the top priorities of the Cyberabad police. R. Jagadishwar Reddy, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Shamshabad, had formed special teams with law and order police stations in coordination with the Special Operation Teams (SOT) and the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) team.

They built a robust informant network to assist combat the drug dealing and consumption and registered multiple drug-related cases in the first half of 2022.

The 1338.05 kgs of Ganja, 485 ml of weed oil and 11 grams of cocaine were seized from eight different police stations limits under Cyberabad Police Commissionerate :

1. Balanagar

2. Dundigal

3. Gachibowli

4. Medchal

5. Miyapur

6. Pet-Basheerabad

7. Sanathnagar

8. Shabad
