HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad Task Force police have busted a fake job racket and call centre scam in Hyderabad and arrested three organisers and 32 telecallers, besides seizing fourteen laptops, 148 mobile phones, Rs.1,350 rupees, four two-wheelers, one BMW car respectively.

According to Hyderabad Cyber Crime DCP Sneha Mehra, the accused Gadagoni Chakradhar Goud, Ganesh, and Shravan from Siddipet have started a fake call centre after working on various marketing companies in Hyderabad and were duping the unemployed youth on the pretext of jobs.

The accused allegedly recruited the youth belonging to Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Andhra Pradesh states as data entry operators by collecting Rs. 50 lakh from them. The accused used to run the office for 45 days and later shut it for a few days before resuming it again.

The DCP disclosed that the accused acquired 100 SIM cards to 100 mobiles to run the call center and linked them to bank accounts. She said that they have seized this call center operating in Punjagutta.
