KANDUKUR: A woman, wife of a farmhouse watchman, was brutally murdered in Dasarlapalli village of Kandukur mandal in Rangareddy district on Friday night.

According to the police, Narender Reddy and Sailaja Reddy, a couple hailing from Nellore district, were working in the farmhouse near Dasarlapalli of Kandukur mandal. Narender Reddy is tasked with the responsibility of the security of the premises.

On Friday night, Sailaja Reddy was alone at home while her husband was away at work. It is suspected that, at around 9 pm, she was brutally stabbed to death by an unidentified assailant. The gruesome killing came to light after Narender Reddy returned home at the end of his duty and found his wife in a pool of blood.

The police, who registered a case, were in the process of ascertaining if the murder was part of a robbery attempt or committed by those familiar to the couple.

Full details of the incident are yet to be known.
