Father kills erratic son, buries body in Palnadu

AMARAVATI: In a shocking incident, a 20-year-old youngster was killed by his father who could not bear with his erratic behaviour in Palnadu district of Andhra Pradesh. The incident, which happened in Kothapalli village of Macherla mandal three days ago, came to light on Sunday.

On being informed, the police extricated the body of Vendi Gopi, the victim, from an agricultural field where his father had secretly buried it. According to the police, Gopi had been leading the life of a vagabond and was borrowing money from everyone, much to the humiliation of his parents in the village.

Gopi did not mend his ways despite repeated advice and reminders. He was hit on his head with a rod by his father three days ago following an argument at their house, leading to his instantaneous death. Gopi's father later took the help of a local auto driver to quietly shift the body a nearby farm land where it was buried.

But with the news spreading around, the police entered the scene on Sunday and exhumed the body. The case is under investigation.
