Fire breaks out in furniture warehouse, spreads to nearby homes

HYDERABAD: An accidental fire erupted in a furniture warehouse located in Patel Nagar, Nampally in Hyderabad, on Thursday, causing panic among local residents as the blaze quickly spread to nearby houses.

Upon noticing the fire, residents fled their homes in fear, with many assisting in removing LPG gas cylinders and oil barrels from the affected and adjacent properties to prevent further explosions.

After receiving information, the Habeeb Nagar Police and Fire Department personnel promptly arrived at the scene to commence rescue operations. Three fire engines were deployed, and the firefighters managed to bring the fire under control. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.

The police have launched an investigation into the cause of the fire. Preliminary assessments suggest that a short circuit may have triggered the accident.
