HYDERABAD: Six interstate drug dealers were arrested by the West Zone task force team on Wednesday, and they also seized 202 bottles of hash oil, 2 kg of ganja, and 2 bikes all worth Rs. 4,04,000.

The six suspects, according to the police, were in illegal possession of Marijuana(Ganja) and hash oil that were smuggled from Padaru village in Vishakapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, then profitably sold to those in need.

Two of the accused—Chakali Venkat Lingam, a daily finance worker in the Borabanda area, and Daramsoth Yashwant Naik, a salesman at a sari shop in Kankatalla—were addicted to Hash Oil and marijuana. The two buddies used to get together frequently at Borabanda, Hyderabad, in the Tulsi Nagar neighbourhood.

Chakali Venkat Lingam and Daramsoth Yashwant Naik planned to buy hash oil from Manoj in Vizag and Ganja from another accused Mahesh, a resident of Alipuram, Vishakapatanam, in order to sell to needy consumers in Hyderabad when they were experiencing financial difficulties.

Both Venkat and Yashwant travelled to Vishakapatnam's Padaru Town where they met Manoj and obtained one litre of hash oil. Additionally, they ordered 2 kg of marijuana from Mahesh and were told that payment will be made following the sale of marijuana in Hyderabad.

On Wednesday morning, however, when they were travelling from Vishakapatnam to Hyderabad, West Zone police apprehended them in front of the Nampally Railway Station.

The seized items, along with the accused Chakali Venkat Lingam, Daramsoth Yashwant Naik, A Mahesh Babu, Neyyala Sai Kumar, Gadagamma Madhan Kumar, and Ch. Ganesh, were handed to the SHO, Nampally PS, Hyderabad for further investigation.
