IIT-H graduate jumps to death in Sangareddy

This is the second death of an IIT-H graduate in a span of a week.

HYDERABAD: A 22-year-old graduate of IIT Hyderabad died by suicide by jumping off a building in Pothreddipalle village of Sangareddy district on Wednesday. Megh Kapoor, the deceased, received his B.tech degree from IIT Hyderabad last month.

According to reports, Megh Kapoor ended her life on Wednesday morning at a guest house where he had been staying for over a month. The deceased reportedly hailed from Jodhpur in Rajasthan. The body was shifted to a nearby government hospital by the police as soon as they received the information.

A case has been registered and further investigation is going on.

According to reports, this is the second death of an IIT-H graduate in a span of a week. On August 31, police reported a similar incident in which an IIT-Hyderabad student was discovered dead on the campus in what appeared to be a suicide case. The 25-year-old M.Tech student allegedly hanged himself in his room, according to authorities.
