Man obsessed with motorcycle theft held

HYDERABAD: The Commissioner's Task Force, South Zone Team, Hyderabad, and Banjara Hills Police apprehended Mohammad Khashif, a habitual motor cycle thief who stole five motor cycles within the jurisdiction of the Hyderabad and Cyberabad Police Commissionerates.

The police also seized two motor cycles from the accused person's possession, worth Rs. 2 lakhs. Khashif, a 27-year-old labourer in Hyderabad's Asifnagar, was fascinated by bike riding.

Khashif began stealing bikes, according to the police, because his earnings were insufficient to satisfy his desires and he was unable to purchase a motorcycle. He was involved in more than seven motorcycle theft cases in the commissionerate of Hyderabad, Cyberabad, and Karimnagar.

He continued to commit crimes after being released from jail, and was involved in five motorcycle theft cases within the jurisdictions of the police stations of Banjara Hills, Asif Nagar, Kulsumpura, Pet Basheerabad, and Rajendra Nagar.

The South Zone Task Force Team in Hyderabad, along with the Banjara Hills Police, apprehended Kashif and recovered five motor cycles based on credible information. The accused and seized property were handed over to the Station House Officer (SHO) of Banjara Hills Police Station for further investigation.
