Man tries to kill three children and himself by driving car into pond, saved by locals

HYDERABAD: In a dramatic incident on Wednesday, a car plunged into the Imamguda pond near Hayath Nagar in Hyderabad. Alert locals who witnessed the sinking vehicle immediately sprang into action and saved the lives of the occupants.

The car, driven by a man with three children on board, was seen careening into the pond. Locals quickly responded, using available tubes and ropes to rescue the individuals. The driver and three children, all under the age of ten, were successfully pulled to safety.

Upon bringing them ashore, the locals were shocked to learn the reason behind the incident. It was discovered that the driver had intentionally driven into the pond in a suicide attempt following a domestic dispute with his wife. Enraged by the ongoing conflict and his wife's perceived disobedience, the man decided to end his life and those of his children.

The children, comprising one boy and two girls, were understandably terrified by the ordeal but were unharmed thanks to the swift actions of the rescuers. On receiving information, police reached the spot and took the man into custody for questioning.
