Minor, dad held for obstructing ASI in his duty

HYDERABAD: The Godavarikhani police registered a case against a man and his son for obstructing the duties of an Assistant Sub-Inspector at Ramagundam Traffic police station on Monday.

According to reports, One Town Police Inspector Gangadhara Ramesh Babu, ASI Harigoppula Venkateswara Babu, as part of his duties at Ramagundam Traffic police station, tried to seize a Royal Enfield motorcycle parked at no parking zone in front of Nice Optical shop at Lakshmi Nagar in Godavarikhani. The bike also had no registration number plate.

However, the Motorcycle owner Kalva Tirupati Yadav, his 14-year-old minor son got into an altercation with the police and obstructed their duties. The duo allegedly abused the ASI and the constable and also kicked the towing vehicle.

The One Town Inspector said that a case has been filed against Kalva Tirupati and his minor son for obstructing duties as per the complaint lodged by ASI Harigoppula Venkateswara Babu.
