Minor girl raped, family threatened in Mailardevpally; accused booked

HYDERABAD: A minor girl was allegedly raped by a youth at Madhuban Colony under Mailardevpally police station limits in Ranga Reddy district.

The accused, identified as Sheikh Salman alias Sheikh Ahmed, 20, of Madhuban colony, with the help of his three friends, assaulted and raped the minor girl, whose family is living in the same colony.

After the incident came to light, the parents and relatives of the accused threatened the girl's parents, asking them not to reveal the matter outside. However, the victim's family approached Mailardevpally police station. A case has been registered against the accused and investigation is going on.

It is learned that the victim's family migrated from Solapur in Maharashtra to Hyderabad for livelihood and residing at Madhuban Colony for the last few years.
