Missing man of Balapur murdered, police suspect friends’ role

HYDERABAD: In a shocking incident, a 25-year-old man, who went missing two weeks ago, was found to have been murdered on the same day under the Balapur police station limits of the Rachakonda Commissionerate. The incident came to light only on Saturday night after the police, probing the missing case, were able to establish that he was indeed murdered on February, 12, the very day he disappeared.
The police suspect that disputes among friends might have led to the death of Faisal, a resident of Osman Nagar Colony in Balapur of Ranga Reddy district. According to them, the victim left his house to go to the Osmania Hotel on February 12, 2023 only to go missing since then. Based on a complaint from his family members, a missing case was registered and, as part of the ensuing investigation, the police found out on February 25, 2023, that Faisal was in fact murdered on the very day he went missing.
The victim is survived by his pregnant wife, whom he married only six months ago. Following the leads received during their investigation, the police have converted the missing case into a case of kidnap and murder. They are also reportedly collecting information on Faisal’s friends, especially those who may have met him on February 12, 2023 and if they had any disputes between them. Further investigation is going on.
