RAJAHMUNDRY: Kapu movement leader Mudragada Padmanabham on Saturday said that movie stars had no space in politics and that people would not believe such stars.

Speaking to media on Saturday, a day after joining the YSRC, Mudragada questioned Pawan Kalyan's leadership abilities, stating that the actor-turned-politician lacked necessary experience and skills to lead in politics effectively.

"Despite my attempts to sway Kalyan's allegiances, the actor never heeded and remained unchanged," Mudragada asserted.

As the two power centres belonging to the Kapu community exchange the words, it remains to be seen how their rivalry will impact the upcoming assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh.

He claimed that he was a hero in politics and Pawan Kalyan was a hero just in films only.

He said that he was treated with great honour by all leaders. When he had joined the TDP, Chandrababu Naidu had sent them Lok Sabha speaker GMC Balayogi and Assembly Speaker Yanamala Ramakrishnudu to invite him into the party.

YS Jagan sent Rajampet MP Midhun Reddy, Kakinada MP Vanga Geetha and Kakinada MLA Dwarampudi Chandrasekhara Reddy to invite him into the party. Pawan Kalyan had sent word that he would come and meet him, which he never did.

“My only objective now is to enthrone YS Jagan as the Chief Minister once again,” Padmanabham said.
