HYDERABAD: Cybersecurity Bureau of Telangana State has Yemen a novel campaign to draw the attention of people. The high-impact campaign is designed to draw the attention of people.

The police decided to cash in on the human weakness of clandestinely picking up a wallet that’s lying on the road.

The police threw a wallet-like objects with a Rs.500-note replica protruding out at different places in an oblique attempt to woo the passersby.

As expected, an experimental verification at different public places proved the trick right.

Many passers-by picked up the wallet-like thing and were elated to find a 500-rupee note emerging out of it. When they tried to open the wallet, it opens to expose that the note was just a design and not the note itself. Plus, a message about the phone number 1930 and it’s bees are highlighted on it. Dang, the purpose is served. Those picked up the wallets automatically become campaigners for the 1930 number to prevent cybercrime.

This unique campaign on 1930 has a flyer with a message to secure against cyber fraud and to create awareness about 1930, according to Director of Cybersecurity Bureau and Commissioner of Cyberabad Police Stephen Raveendra.

The CP said the awareness campaign was a big hit.
