Police continue arrests of farmers in Telangana ahead of Chalo Praja Bhavan protest
Farmers protesting for unconditional loan waivers face arrests as they attempt to march to Praja Bhavan
HYDERABAD: The Telangana police have intensified their crackdown on farmers protesting for unconditional loan waivers as part of the 'Chalo Praja Bhavan' call. Farmers from various parts of the state who were heading to the protest site were arrested by the police.
Farmers expressed their frustration, questioning why they were being treated like criminals or terrorists when they were staging a peaceful protest. Several farmers reiterated their determination to reach Pragathi Bhavan despite the arrests, expressing anger at the government's actions and accusing it of suppressing their voices.
Chanting slogans such as "A nation without farmers cannot thrive," they vowed to continue their protest against what they described as unjust treatment. Despite police efforts, the farmers remained resolute in their demands for loan waivers without any conditions.
