MADANAPALLE: Andhra Pradesh Police have reportedly uncovered disturbing details in the case of a young woman accused of murdering her father over a marriage dispute.

The incident occurred on June 13 in Madanapalle, Annamaiya district of Andhra Pradesh. The investigation revealed that Harita, the accused, was involved in romantic relationships with three young men, leading to escalating tensions with her father, Doraswamy.

Doraswamy, 62, a teacher, had lost his wife, Lata, to illness a year and a half ago. He had saved money for Harita’s marriage and deposited the funds in her bank account and her mother’s jewellery.

However, Harita became close to a young man named Ramesh from Madanapalle, giving him her gold jewellery, which he pawned for a loan of Rs. 11.40 lakh. She also gave Rs. 8 lakh to another young man, Sai Krishna, and maintained a relationship with a third man, Harish Reddy.

Upon discovering Harita's actions, Doraswamy sought a suitable marriage alliance for her, leading to a month-long conflict between father and daughter. On June 13, in a fit of rage, Harita allegedly attacked Doraswamy with a stick, resulting in his death. Further investigations in the case are ongoing.
