Rotten eggs served to pregnant women as nutritional food in Mancherial

MANCHERIAL: Authorities in the Mancherial district of Telangana have come under fire after rotten eggs were served to pregnant and lactating women as part of a nutritional program. The incident occurred at the Anganwadi centre in Pinnaram village of Kotapally Mandal.

The beneficiaries reported a foul smell emanating from the eggs upon boiling them. Despite complaints to the local authorities, no action has been taken. Officials who were informed about the situation acknowledged the issue but attempted to deflect responsibility, stating they would escalate the matter to higher authorities.
