HYDERABAD: Sensational details were unearthed in the case of Maredpally CI Nageshwar Rao, which created a flutter across the state. The shocking facts were recorded in the remand report.
It is learned that CI Nageshwar Rao confessed to have committed the crime during the investigation by the authorities. A case was registered under the Arms Act for attempted murder, rape, and threats.
As part of the preliminary investigation, the CI's service revolver and clothes were collected by police who also retrieved the CCTV footage from an electrical shop near the victim's house. Later, the medical examination of the victim was completed and the contents of the report have been sent to FSL whose report is yet to come.
Meanwhile, crucial evidence was found at the scene of the offence where police are said to have seized two glasses, strands of hair, and bed sheets. The police had also collected details about the Ibrahimpatnam car accident and revealed in the remand report that the CCTV footage of the car traveling at Sagar Complex was retrieved.
