Six-year-old boy killed in dog attack in Miyapur

HYDERABAD: A six-year-old boy died due to an attack by stray dogs in Miyapur of Rangareddy district on Wednesday.

The victim, Satvik, belonged to a family of beggars in Miyapur. He had gone out to play on Tuesday and did not return home. Despite the family's extensive search efforts in the surrounding areas, they could not locate him.

On Wednesday morning, the locals discovered the boy's body in a barren area of Maqta and immediately notified the police. Upon arrival, the police observed bite marks on the boy's back, indicating that he had been attacked by dogs. Local residents noted that the area is a dumping yard and expressed concerns about the frequent presence of stray dogs.

The boy's body was shifted to the hospital for a postmortem examination. Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the incident.
