Son assaults parents in Madanapalle; Police register case against accused after video goes viral

CHITTOOR: The Madanapalle II Town police have registered a case against a man for attacking his parents over a property dispute in Madanapalle town in Annamayya district on Sunday. The incident created a stir, and the video of the son's assault went viral on social media.

An elderly couple, Venkataramana Reddy and Lakshmamma, residing in Ayodhya Nagar in Madanapalle, has two sons. However, a property dispute erupted in the family wherein the younger son, Srinivasulu Reddy, who lost his patience, assaulted his parents, leaving them injured, The whole incident, which got video-recorded went viral on social media.

Upon noticing the viral video, the Madanapalli 2 Town Police conducted inquiries with the assistance of the media and the community to identify the victims and gather information about the incident. Venkataramana Reddy and Lakshmamma, who were hospitalised due to the injuries, stated to the police.

The police, in their investigation, found that Srinivasulu Reddy felt aggrieved that the property was not appropriately distributed among the brothers and registered a case against the latter.
