Student imprisoned for blackmailing couple with intimate video

HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad SHE team has arrested a man for allegedly blackmailing a couple using their intimate videos. The accused, Abdul Salman, a 23-year-old student, was subsequently sentenced to an eight-day imprisonment by the XVI Metropolitan Magistrate.

Abdul Salman, who gave shelter to a friend and the latter's female acquaintance, allegedly captured intimate videos of the couple using a hidden camera.

The accused allegedly sent the video to the woman and started blackmailing her seeking sexual favours. He threatened to post the video online if she did not fall in line.

The victim approached the Hyderabad SHE team, which took immediate action by apprehending the accused and retrieving the videos from his possession. He was later produced in the court with relevant evidence which led to his eventual sentencing.

SHE team apprehends car driver for flashing at a girl

In another case, a car driver was arrested for his obscene behaviour with a woman passerby. An innocent girl was allegedly followed by a car driver as she was walking along the road near the Narayanguda Metro station. Mohammad Hyder Ali Khan, 25, the driver, seemed to be asking her about something. The girl assumed he was asking her to assist with the route/address. When she got close to the car, the driver flashed his private parts to her.

According to SHE teams, the alert girl quickly took a photograph of the driver and the vehicle on her phone before fleeing the area. She then reported the incident to the SHE team through an email with the pictures attached.

The SHE team quickly identified the vehicle with the help of technical evidence and CCTV footage before arresting the accused. He was sentenced to eight days in prison by a Nampally court.
