Teacher turns thief: Man commits robbery of own home, caught on camera

NIRMAL: A school teacher in Telangana's Nirmal district was caught in a web of lies after he orchestrated a fake robbery at his own house, which was exposed by CCTV footage.

Anita Rani, a school teacher, and her husband, Sawla Shiva, returned to their home in Mahadevpur Colony to find their front door lock broken and the contents of their cupboard scattered. Eight tolas of gold jewellery, silver ornaments, and cash were missing. The couple immediately reported the incident to the police.

However, upon examining the CCTV footage from the vicinity, the police were in for a shock. The footage clearly showed Shiva, Anita's husband, committing the crime. Confronted with the evidence, Shiva confessed to staging the robbery.
