Third farmer suicide attempt in Khammam in 10 days over land disputes

KHAMMAM: In yet another tragic incident, a farmer from Khammam attempted suicide by drinking pesticides due to a land dispute. This marks the third such incident in the region within the last ten days.

Sitaiah, a resident of Banapuram in Mudigonda mandal, consumed insecticide after facing encroachment on his land. He was immediately rushed to a hospital in Khammam, where he is currently receiving treatment.

Local authorities are investigating the series of incidents to address the underlying issues causing these desperate acts among farmers in the area.
