Three injured as bus hit two motorcycles in Mancherial
An RTC bus collided with two motorcycles in Mancherial leaving three people injured, one critically.
MANCHERIAL: An RTC bus travelling from Godavarikhani to Mancherial collided with two motorcycles at Venkateshwara Talkies junction in Mancherial on Monday. Three people were injured in the incident, one of them critically.
The injured persons have been identified as Regunta Ramesh and his daughter Deepa Sainikunta, both residents of Mancherial, and Beerthi Naveen's brother-in-law, Bandi Mahesh, from Mogullapalli in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district.
According to reports, the bus driver lost control of the vehicle at the junction, hitting the motorcycle carrying Naveen and Mahesh. The impact caused the motorcycle to collide with another motorcycle, seriously injuring Ramesh and Deepa.
All four injured were immediately taken to a private hospital. Deepa's condition deteriorated, and she was transferred to a hospital in Karimnagar. Ramesh was moved to a hospital in Hyderabad for specialist treatment.
A case has been registered against the bus driver, reportedly in police custody. Investigations are ongoing.
