ADILABAD: Three youths drowned while fishing in the River Pochera in Adilabad district on Tuesday. The body of one of the youths has been recovered, while search operations are underway to find the remaining two.

The incident involved three labourers from Nanded, Maharashtra - Akash, Akshay, and Vijay - staying at a relative's house in Bandalnagapur village, Tamsi mandal, Adilabad. On Tuesday, Akash and Vijay went fishing in the River Pochera, accompanied by their relative Srinivas. During the fishing trip, Srinivas accidentally fell into the river. Akash and Vijay tried to save him, but they too were swept away by the water.

Local police and a Disaster Response Force (DRF) team, along with local fishermen, conducted a search operation and recovered Vijay’s body. The search for Akash and Srinivas is still ongoing, and further details are awaited.
