TTD chief priest clarifies no issues with laddu prasadam
TTD chief priest Venu Gopal Dikshitulu assures that no doubts should remain about the laddu prasadam after rituals to remove past lapses.
TIRUMALA: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) chief priest Venu Gopal Dikshitulu stated that there should be no further doubts regarding the Srivari laddu prasadam.
Addressing recent controversies, he explained that purification rituals, including a "Shanti Homam," were conducted to eliminate any lapses that may have occurred. Dikshitulu clarified that any issues related to the laddu preparation prior to the recent "Pavitrotsavams" were resolved with the completion of these religious festivals.
Recently, reports alleging the presence of animal fats in the ghee used for preparing the laddu prasadam caused significant public concern. In response, the temple authorities organized a "Shanti Homam" and "Panchagavya Prokshanam" to address these concerns. Dikshitulu mentioned that all departments of the temple underwent purification procedures, including the prasadam preparation centers. He emphasised that the doshas (faults) were unintentional and have been resolved through the homam and purification rituals. He concluded by stating that the final ritual, "Poornahuti," ensured the complete removal of all such lapses.
