Two BTech students drowned to death in Kakatiya canal, Minister Prashanth Reddy consoles kin

NIZAMABAD: In a tragic incident that happened in Nizamabad on Saturday, two engineering students drowned to death after they fell into the Kakatiya Canal.

The two students, identified as Pranav Rao and Venu Yadav from Nizamabad, were touring around the SRSP project, when they slipped into the canal.

Telangana Minister for Roads and Buildings Vemula Prashanth Reddy, who was alerted about the incident by SRSP officials, expressed condolences to families of the students.

The Minister also appealed to the public to refrain from visiting such areas as the water level in SRSP canals was higher than usual. He asked officials to take necessary measures to prevent such incidents from happening again.
