Two killed in ghastly road accident in Shadnagar

SHADNAGAR: Two persons were killed on the spot while another sustained grievous injuries in a ghastly road accident in Shadnagar of Rangareddy district on Sunday. The mishap occurred near Essar petrol filling station on the Parigi road in the town when the two-wheeler that the victims were riding was hit by a lorry.

The victims were triple riding on the motorcycle when the lorry, coming in the opposite direction, rammed into them. Under its impact, two of the persons on the two-wheeler died on the spot. According to reports, two of the victims hailed from Mahal Elikatta village while the other belonged to Shadnagar.

The driver of the lorry fled away from the spot after hitting the two-wheeler. But some villagers chased down the vehicle and intercepted it near Mogiligidda. Full details of the mishap are yet to be known.
