Two youths drowned in pond in Jammikunta of Karimnagar district

KARIMNAGAR: Two youths drowned after accidentally falling into a pond located on the BisugirSharif Dargah hillock of Jammikunta mandal in Karimnagar district.

According to reports, nine friends, hailing from Godavarikhani, came to Jammikunta to participate in Dargah festivities at BisugirSharif.

The nine young men went to the corner of the hillock to take a bath in the pond. Two of them drowned while the other seven came out safely.

Despite the rescue team’s efforts, the two youths, identified as Srinath (19) and Sai Kumar (24), could not be saved. The police registered a case and shifted the dead bodies to a hospital. Investigation is on.
