Vain bid by two men to give slip to police; caught, beaten near Golconda
Instead of stopping, the men sped away, prompting a high-speed chase. Police caught and subdued them using sticks.
HYDERABAD: In a dramatic incident late Tuesday night, two men attempted to flee from police during a routine check by using a fake police siren on their car. The incident occurred near Golconda, where the police were conducting standard vehicle inspections.
Instead of stopping, the men tried to speed away, prompting a high-speed chase. The police eventually caught up with them and subdued the suspects using sticks, reminiscent of popular police action.
When questioned by an officer about their attempt to escape, one of the men admitted that they tried to run away because they were afraid of the police. The officer then asked what they had done to make them fear the police, but the man had no answer. The police thoroughly checked the car for any suspicious objects but found nothing unusual.
The identities of the men remain unknown, and the police have not made any official statement regarding the incident. It is still unclear why the men were illegally using a police siren on their vehicle.
