Warden's husband arrested for sexual assault of minor girls in Eluru hostel
Sasi Kumar, a government employee, targeted underage girls for jobs and committed assaults in a hostel.
ELURU: Police have arrested the husband of a hostel warden for allegedly committing sexual assaults on students at the Swami Dayananda Saraswati Hostel in Eluru.
The hostel, which housed 45 students, was being operated without official permission. The accused, Sasi Kumar, who also works as a government employee in the BC Welfare Department, reportedly targeted girls under 16 for jobs at his shop, Money Digitals. He allegedly took students out under the pretext of photoshoots, where he would tie them up and assault them.
Distressed by the harassment, the students and their parents filed a complaint with the police, leading to his arrest.
