Woman ends life after BMW drivers threaten case against minor son for accident, 2 held

The mother of the young boy went into depression. Out of fear that her son could end up in jail, she died by suicide.

HYDERABAD: A mother of a fourteen-year-old boy took away her life following threats and demand for payment from a BMW car driver after her son hit the car, causing damages in Filmnagar.

According to details, a minor, aged 14, collided with a BMW car while riding a bike, following which two drivers of the BMW demanded a sum of Rs 20,000 for repairs and threatened to file case against the minor if the amount was not paid.

In a distressing turn of events, the mother of the young boy, Surya Kumari, aged 35, went into depression. Out of fear that her son could end up in jail, she took her life.

Upon the victim's husband's complaint, a case was registered against the two drivers under section 306 of the IPC. Police authorities swiftly took action by detaining the drivers, identified as Chandra Shekhar and Mahesh, for their involvement in the distressing events.

The drivers expressed concern that their families would have to face hardships if they were involved in the cases. However, the Film Nagar police are investigating the case.
