ANNAMAYYA: A woman, along with her two children, allegedly died by suicide by jumping into a well in the Lower Burujupalle village of Gurram Konda mandal in Annamayya district. The reasons for the extreme step are yet to be ascertained.
Lavanya, daughter of Obuleshwari and Pratap Reddy, was married to Subrahmanyam Reddy of Jandla Panchayat in Pileru mandal. They were blessed with two children, son Paramesh (4) and daughter Mounika (3). While Subrahmanyam Reddy is working in a private company in Mahabubabad of Telangana, Lavanya was taking care of the house.
Subrahmanyam, who came to Burujupalle on August 16, tried to take his wife and children to Mahabubabad. However, Lavanya refused to go with him. Later, she took the extreme step, ending her life and that of her children as well.
Based on a complaint lodged by the mother of the deceased, Obuleshwari, Gurram Konda police extricated the dead bodies with the help of firemen and swimmers and registered a case.
The incident sent shockwaves in Lower Burujupalli village.
