Woman with three kids jumps to death in Mid Manair reservoir

RAJANNA SIRCILLA: In a tragic suicide pact, a woman threw her three children into Mid Manair reservoir before herself jumping to death. The incident took place at the Sabhashpalli bridge in Boinapally mandal of Rajanna Sircilla district on Wednesday but the bodies were found afloat on Friday.

According to police, Rajitha alias Neha, a resident of Karimnagar, jumped into the reservoir after flinging her children Mohammad Ayan (7), Ashraja Ben (5) and Usman Ahmed (14 months) on Wednesday. The bloated bodies surfaced on Friday morning. After receiving information, the police recovered the dead bodies and sent them for a post-mortem examination.

A native of Rudravaram in Vemulawada rural mandal, Rajitha married one Mohammad Ali from Karimnagar following a love affair. The couple reportedly quarreled frequently, police said, adding that this could have driven the woman to take the extreme step. Further investigation into the incident is going on.
