Yashoda to KIMS: Hyderabad cops help transport live heart in 22 minutes

It took 22 minutes to cover the 21-km distance between Yashoda Hospital in Malakpet, Hyderabad & KIMS Hospital in Secunderabad.

HYDERABAD: Hyderabad Traffic Police has again made it possible to transport a live organ (heart) by allowing the ambulance to proceed nonstop on Tuesday.

In collaboration with Rachakonda Police, Hyderabad Traffic Police set up a Green Channel on Tuesday to transport a live organ (heart) at 11.45 am from Yashoda Hospital in Malakpet to KIMS Hospital in Secunderabad.

It took 22 minutes to cover the 21-km distance between Yashoda Hospital in Malakpet, Hyderabad, and KIMS Hospital in Secunderabad. The medical team travelling with the live organ departed from Yashoda Hospital in Malakpet, Hyderabad, at 11.45 am and reached KIMS Hospital in Secunderabad at 12.07 p.m.

The management of Yashoda Hospital and KIMS Hospital commended the efforts of Hyderabad and Rachakonda Traffic Police in the transportation of LIVE ORGANS (LUNGS) as it would aid in saving one valuable life. This year, in 2022, the Hyderabad Traffic Police has facilitated organ transport 29 times.
