HYDERABAD: As many as 195 IPS probationers from the 74th RR batch on Saturday visited the state-of-the-art Telangana State Integrated Command Control Center and the Hyderabad City Police Commissionerate to learn about the TSPICCC's operations and how technology plays a role in policing.

On arrival at TSPICCC, the probationers were briefed on the building's engineering features and given an overview of the technological fusion centre, crisis management centre, CCTVs, and analytics features of the Command Control Center. The trainees were exposed to police operations, technical, administrative, and other areas of coordination.

Hyderabad Police Commissioner CV Anand discussed the history of city police, the kotwal system, and the issues that Hyderabad City Police is facing, as well as the need to adopt IT technologies in policing. CV Anand addressed difficult communal and socioeconomic concerns that the police must address.

CV Anand explained through a Powerpoint presentation how the state government had paid special attention to the paradigm of "peace and law and order bring about economic prosperity" and provided such facilities for the Telangana police to demonstrate outcomes. He discussed unique projects such as H-NEW, SMASH, Operation "ROPE," Bharosa, and the modernization of the police service following Telangana's establishment.

He urged the probationers to remember the significance of the time in their careers when policing was undergoing transition at all levels. He asked them to keep up with advancements in the realm of cybercrime and the threat of narcotics to our next generation.

The Hyderabad city police teams also highlighted the concept of a war room, the integration of IT programmes, and how various government departments work together to give public services and respond quickly during disasters.

"The whole impact of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's idea, the TSPICCC, is being realised across numerous areas of policing, internal security, crisis management, and urban development," CV Anand remarked.

The grandeur of the renowned structure enthralled the probationers. The trainee officers thereafter visited the museum, helipad and other wings in the building.
