HYDERABAD: The BJP, which is looking to gain a foothold in Telangana, is trying to explain to people what it will do if voted to power.

Ironically, it's long in rhetoric and short on substance.

The party's Telangana unit president Bandi Sanjay undertook a padayatra named 'Praja Sangrama Yatra'. Sanjay, who has already completed two phases, will start the third phase of the Praja Sangrama Yatra from today.

Bandi Sanjay's Padayatra will be kickstarted from Yadagirigutta of Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri district with a public meeting. Union Water Resources and Power Minister Gajendrasingh Shekawat and Union Tourism Minister G Kishan Reddy will attend the inaugural meeting of the third phase of Praja Sangrama Yatra to be held in Yadagiripalli, Yadagirigutta Mandal.

Bandi Sanjay, who will reach Yadadri at 10 am today, will perform pujas to Shri Lakshminarasimha swami along with the central ministers. Later, he will reach Yadagiripalli at 11 o'clock and address a public meeting. After that Union Minister Shekawat will wave the party flag and start the march. The journey starts from Yadadri and will reach Warangal via Janagaon district. The third phase of Praja Sangrama Yatra, which will continue for 24 days, will end with a visit to Goddess Bhadrakali in Warangal. Today, the tour will be conducted in Yadagiripalli, Gandhinagar, Yadagirigutta Main Road, Ganesh Nagar, Subham Garden, Patagutta, Gollaguselu, Datarupalli and Baswapur villages respectively.

Meanwhile, Bandi Sanjay Kumar conducted special puja at Khairatabad Ammavari temple and paid tributes to Shyama Prasad Mukherjee at the state office of the BJP. He left for Yadadri from party office while activists gathered in large numbers to welcome Bandi Sanjay.
