DERABAD: Harshivi Rachha, 6, of Hyderabad, and her father, Pramod Rachha, adopted five baby birds from the Nehru Zoological Park in Hyderabad. Harshivi, who adores birds and animals, adopted five tiny birds for a six-month period.

Harshivi Rachha, who is a native of Qutubullapur, Balanagar, will be celebrating her sixth birthday on August 27, 2022, and has opted to honour the birds on that occasion. Her father, Pramod Rachha, the owner of an interior design firm, wanted to give her a gift for her birthday because she loves animals and birds.

Her father, Pramod Rachha, also adopted an Indian Cobra for six months at the Nehru Zoological Park in Hyderabad. In this regard, Pramod Rachha donated Rs 10,000 each for tiny birds and Indian Cobra adoption fees via an online payment method.S. Rajashekar, Curator of Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad, commended them for their admirable efforts in adopting baby birds and an Indian Cobra for a six-month period. Additionally, he asked citizens and organisations to adopt zoo animals and work together to safeguard nature.

Pramod Rachha thanked the curator of the Nehru Zoological Park in Hyderabad for allowing him the chance to adopt some birds and an Indian cobra, which allowed him to fulfil his child's wish to get them as a birthday gift.
